The value oriented model of Pontiac's new performance sedan is the base level 2006 Pontiac G6 1SV.  It comes with a 2.4-liter, 167-hp DOHC Ecotec I4 engine and a 4-speed automatic transmission.  Resting on 16-inch wheels, there is a bare-bones of standard equipment, to keep the price down, but the 2006 G6 1SV does have dual front airbags, power windows and locks, and mirrors, a power driver's seat, air conditioning, intermittent wipers, and a CD player.  Traction control is optional.  ABS brakes are not available.

The rear seats do split-fold 60/40 to give you 14 cubic feet of trunk space.  Gas mileage is a respectable 26/34, adding to the attractiveness of this value mid-size performance sedan.  So far, owners of the 2006 Pontiac G6 1SV like the fuel economy and handling, but feel the front end is too low.
