2005 Nissan Titan XE King Cab 4WD Summary
The 2005 Nissan Titan XE King Cab 4WD doesn't have quite all the features as its Crew Cab counterpart, but it does have more cargo space in its 6.5-foot bed. The XE King Cab 4WD comes with automatic locking hubs, and a locking rear differential is optional. Skid plates encourage rough-roading, and 4-wheel disc and ABS brakes, a tire monitor, front stabilizer bar, and dual front airbags are standard. Add the side impact bags for both rows and you get 4 and 5-star crash ratings on the full-sized pickup.
Powered by a 5.6-liter, 305-hp V8 with 379 lb-ft of torque, the 2005 Titan XE King Cab 4WD comes only with a 5-speed auto tran. It rides on 17-inch wheels and features cruise control, a CD player, tachometer, intermittent wipers, and a tilt steering wheel. Active head restraints are added this year. Though the bed comes with hooks and tie-downs, a bedliner, cover, and extender are extra, as is a trailer hitch. Other extras include satellite radio, a sliding rear window, alloy wheels, and new privacy glass. A flex fuel version is available. Drivers like the good utility of the bed, the hauling power of the V8, and the overall style, but complain of bad brakes, some vibration, and, of course, the 14/19 fuel economy.
