2005 Nissan Titan SE King Cab 4WD Summary
Active front head restraints are the only major change to the 2005 Nissan Titan SE King Cab 4WD, the full-sized pickup that was introduced last year. With two rows of seats that fit six and a 6.5-foot cargo bed, the SE King Cab doubles as family and work truck. Trailer wiring and tie-downs are standard in the bed, and a bedliner, cover, extender, and trailer hitch can be added. The four-wheel drive power is accompanied by automatic locking hubs, skid plates, 18-inch wheels (alloy extra), 4-wheel disc and ABS brakes, traction control, and a 5.6-liter, 305-hp V8 and 5-speed auto tran. A locking rear differential, parking sensors, auto-dimming rearview mirror, foglights, and side airbags can be added, earning 4 and 5-star crash ratings.
In the King Cab, there is less backseat legroom and the doors are reverse-hinged. A manual sliding rear window opens onto the cargo bed, and the rear seats split-fold. It comes with full power features, but a power driver's seat and power pedals are optional. Air conditioning, a tachometer, cruise control, heated mirrors, a CD changer, and a security system are all standard on the 2006 Titan SE King Cab 4WD. Wheel-mounted audio controls, satellite radio, a garage opener, and running boards are also available. This pickup comes as flex fuel vehicle as well. A nice ride, great 4WD power and engine power, and a functional cargo bed rate high with owners of the SE King Cab. They complain about brake wear, some shudder, and poor fuel economy.
