2005 Nissan Pathfinder SE 4WD Summary

Part-time 4WD capability distinguishes the 2005 Nissan Pathfinder SE 4WD from its rear-wheel drive counterpart.  The 6-inches longer SUV seats seven this year in three rows.  Cupholders, a power outlet, storage consoles and pockets, and a cargo area that expands to 79 cubic feet make it perfect for family vacations.  A roof rack and trailer hitch are also standard.  Powered by a 4.0-liter, 270-hp DOHC V6 engine and 5-speed automatic, the 2005 Pathfinder SE 4WD earns 4 and 5-star crash ratings thanks to dual front airbags, 4-wheel ABS, 16-inch alloy wheels, and traction and stability control.  Foglights and a tire pressure monitor are some other safety-oriented features.  Side impact airbags, automatic headlights and an auto-dimming rearview mirror can be added.

An 8-way power driver's seat is standard, but you can add the power passenger seat as well.  Full power features, cruise control, a CD player, intermittent wipers, and a trip computer can be augmented with leather upholstery, heated seats and mirrors, a sunroof, satellite radio, a DVD player, a CD changer/MP3 player, power-adjustable pedals, and a remote garage opener. Owners say the powerful engine makes towing a snap, and the 4WD performs well in tricky road conditions.  A good use of space and overall style are also pluses.  Complaints about the 2005 Nissan Pathfinder SE 4WD include a cramped third row, low gas mileage, and an easily dinged up plastic interior.
