The 2006 Nissan Maxima 3.5 SE is a high-end mid-sized family sedan with a dash of sporty performance in the form of an independent sports suspension, and 3.5-liter, 265-hp DOHC V6 with 241 lb-ft of torque.  A 5-speed shiftable automatic is standard and a 6-speed manual optional.  The family part comes in a roomy interior with split-folding rear seats and a 15 cubic foot trunk.  Six airbags (dual front, side, and rear side), traction control, front and rear stabilizer bars, 18-inch alloy wheels, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and 4-wheel ABS are all standard.  Xenon headlights, stability control, and auto-dimming exterior mirrors can be added.
