The DX was the base model of the 1991 Mazda 626. It was very bare-bones—even a cassette player was optional—but it was very affordable. It came with a 2.2-liter, 110 horsepower engine, with fuel economy at about 24/31.
Drivers like the 1991 626 DX sedan because it has great acceleration, comfortable seats, and are very reliable. Most owners grumble about the lack of cup holders, and airbags are also missed.
