[Edit] A step up from the base model gives you the 2002 Kia Sedona EX minivan, a new venture for Kia in offering an affordable family mobile. The 2002 Sedona EX is powered by a 3.5-liter, 195-hp DOHC V6 and 5-speed automatic. Dual front airbags are standard, but no side impact bags are offered. ABS brakes are optional. The front seat captain's chairs are power adjustable, and the second and third row seats move back and forth and can be taken out for up to 128 cubic feet of cargo space. On the 2002 Sedona EX, a roof rack is standard and a trailer hitch for up to 3500 pounds of towing is available.
Twelve cupholders, front and overhead consoles, four power outlets, and a fold-down tray cater to family needs. Standard equipment includes power features, cruise control, intermittent front and rear wipers, foglights, automatic headlights, a CD player, heated mirrors, remote entry, and leather and wood trim for a more upscale appearance. Only available on the 2002 Sedona EX are leather seats, a remote garage opener, and a sunroof. Owners like the way the Sedona is laid out, the solid handling, and the roomy interior. Low fuel economy is a low point, as is limited cargo room with all the seats up. The seats themselves are hard to remove.
