2004 Chrysler Pacifica Base

The Chrysler Pacifica was introduced in 2004, as Chrysler's first SUV.  It was also the first crossover sport-utility to be built upon a minivan platform.  The Pacifica was offered with both front and all-wheel drive, but off-capabilities were very limited.

The advantages of using the minivan platform include a longer wheelbase and Chrysler's flexible "Stow N Go" seating.  The 116 inch wheelbase creates a spacious interior, which offers 13 cubic feet or luggage capacity and 80 total cubic feet of cargo capacity.  However, the Town & Country base does not offer the ruggedness pf a true 4x4.

The Pacifica houses Chrysler's 3.5 liter V-6, mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.  This engine provides the 4675 pound SUV with 250 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque, enabling the towing of 3500 pounds.

Standard features include dual-zone climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels, power front seats, auto-dimming mirrors, a CD audio system, and full power accessories.  Both models are also equipped with Chrysler's Enhanced Accident Response System, which automates several tasks after the airbags have been deployed.
