2010 Ford Focus S

The Ford Focus S receives a number of new standard features for 2010, including power door locks, remote keyless entry, antilock brakes, and electronic stability control. In addition, it includes the new MyKey system, which parents can use to limit the speed of the vehicle and the volume of the audio system when teenagers are driving the car. Other standard features for the 2010 Focus S include front cloth bucket seats, air conditioning, a tilt steering column, and a four-speaker AM/FM audio system with a CD player, an MP3 input jack, and speed-sensitive volume. In addition, a readout on the top of the dash displays information such as the time, compass direction, temperature, and radio settings, making it easier for drivers to keep their eyes on the road. Exterior features include halogen headlights, black door handles, and black sideview mirrors.

A 2.0-liter, dual-overhead-cam Duratec 20 inline four-cylinder engine provides power for the front-wheel-drive 2010 Focus S. The engine generates 140 hp and 136 lb-ft of torque, and links to a five-speed manual transmission with overdrive or an optional four-speed automatic. The EPA estimates fuel economy numbers for the Focus S at 24/35 mpg with the manual transmission or 24/33 with the automatic. The Focus S comes equipped with rack-and-pinion steering and a European-inspired suspension for nimble handling and good balance. The five-passenger sedan runs on regular gasoline and rides on 15-inch wheels.
