2009 Nissan Frontier XE King Cab

The 2009 Nissan Frontier XE King Cab serves as the base model for this trim line, though the other trims vary significantly from its foundation. The XE King Cab is powered by a 2.5-liter, 152-horsepower, four-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The XE King Cab gets 19 city/23 highway mpg and has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds and a maximum payload of 1,002 pounds.

The XE King Cab features a four-wheel antilock braking system with vented disc brakes in the front and rear aided by electronic brakeforce distribution, 15-inch steel wheels with P235/75R15 General Grabber all-season tires, a chrome grille, body-color front bumper, chrome rear bumper, locking tailgate, cargo bed light, UV-reducing solar windshield glass, rear privacy glass, two 12-volt outlets, second-row under-seat storage, and cloth seat trim.

This is the only trim at the XE level, which does not have options for four-wheel drive, a crew cab, or a long bed.
