2009 Jeep Commander Sport 4WD

Incorporating all the standard features and available options of its rear-wheel-drive (RWD) sibling, the five-passenger, four-door 2009 Jeep Commander Sport 4WD offers, as well, full-time, four-wheel-drive (4WD) traction. This base 4WD trim features Jeep’s unique Quadra-Trac system, with a single-speed transfer case and four-wheel traction control to provide traction in severe weather. Despite the available skid plates, this system is not designed for dedicated off-road use.

Like the RWD Sport, the ’09 Commander Sport 4WD packs a standard 210-hp, 235-lb-ft/torque 3.7-liter V6 that, along with its standard five-speed auto-manual transmission, gives the Sport 4WD 13/18 mpg. A 305-hp 4.7-liter Flex Fuel V8 and five-speed auto-manual are also available for the Sport 4WD trim.
