The trim-topping 2009 Volkswagen Routan SEL indeed offers premium accommodations for its seven passengers. Topping the list of additional standard features over the mid-level SEL are second-row multi-level heated seats, followed by power-adjustable pedals, UConnect Bluetooth hands-free phone technology, tri-zone automatic climate control, and automatic headlights. Options for the ’09 Routan SEL Premium are, of course, comparable with the SEL trim's.
Packing a 4.0-liter SOHC V6 and six-speed auto-manual transmission, the ’09 Volkswagen Routan SEL will churn out 251 hp and 259 lb-ft of torque. These ponies are good to tow 3,500 pounds, when properly equipped, at 17/25 mpg.
