2009 MINI Cooper S Summary

Bolstered by a turbocharged, 172-hp engine, the S has more power and acceleration than the Base model, and appeals to those seeking a sportier ride by offering a rear spoiler, 16-inch alloy wheels, dual chrome tailpipes, and optional paddle shifters for those who prefer an automatic to the six-speed manual transmission. Safety features are the same as on the Base, with six airbags, antilock brakes, run-flat tires, and keyless entry, plus standard front foglights that come only as an option on the Base. The interior is the same on all three Cooper trims, including a CD player, six speakers, air conditioning, an on-board computer, as well as power doors, windows, and mirrors.
