2009 Toyota 4Runner SR5 V6 4WD

The name says it all for the 2009 Toyota 4Runner SR5 V6 4WD. This trim has all the same features as the base SR5 V6 trim with the notable exception of the multi-mode four-wheel-drive system with a Torsen limited-slip center differential with a locking feature. This part-time 4WD system allows the driver to switch between high and low gearing as the situation dictates. All 4Runner trims come with Hill Start Assist Control, but the 4WD trims also come with Downhill Assist Control, helping the driver maintain control on steep descents. The addition of many 4WD systems detracts significantly from gas mileage, but this one takes only one mile per gallon off the highway mpg, as the SR5 V6 4WD gets 16 city/20 highway mpg, compared to 16/21 for the base SR5.
