2009 Toyota 4Runner SR5 V8

If you need an SUV to tow heavy objects and your heart is set on the 4Runner, the 2009 Toyota 4Runner SR5 V8 may be the trim for you. The SR5 V8 has the highest towing capacity of any of the SR5 trims, coming in at 7,300 pounds. This extra muscle comes from its 4.7-liter, 32-valve V8 engine capable of 260 horses at 5,400 rpm and 306 lb-ft of torque at 3,400 rpm. The SR5 V8 also comes standard with an integrated towing hitch receiver with ball-mount kit, the only exterior feature that varies from the base SR5. And the only interior feature that varies from the base trim is an eight-way power-adjustable (the base has manual adjustment) driver’s and four-way power-adjustable passenger seat. The SR5 V8 also gets lower gas mileage than the base, but not much, coming in at 15 city/19 highway mpg.
