2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4WD

The 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4WD is as close to an off-road machine as you can find in a Cherokee these days. Its 5.7-liter V8 utilizes cylinder deactivation and comes paired with a five-speed automatic transmission, traction control, a two-speed transfer case, and dual limited-slip differentials for the four-wheel-drive system, skid plates, front tow hooks, and hill ascent/descent control. Additionally, the lower section of the front bumper, directly below the foglights, is removable for additional ground clearance. Open the power sunroof for open-air fun, or utilize the dual-zone automatic climate controls if you’d rather keep the outside out and the inside in. All seats, including the split-folding rear, are heated and covered in leather, with the front passenger bucket getting 4-way power and the driver’s bucket getting 8-way power and lumbar adjustability. Power windows, door locks, and heated power mirrors are all included, as well as remote keyless entry and engine start. A memory system takes care of mirrors, the driver’s seat, and the power-adjustable pedals. Additionally, the wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel is tilt and telescoping and has controls for the Boston Acoustics AM/FM/6-CD/MP3 changer with iPod adapter, hard drive, and Bluetooth. A navigation system is also standard and comes with voice recognition and traffic info, and a rearview camera and rear-obstacle-detection system are also included. Additional convenience features include a trip computer, tachometer, center console, cruise control, universal garage door opener, and 115-volt power outlet, as well as a roof rack, rear privacy glass, and a cargo cover. For towing, a class IV hitch receiver with wiring harness is standard, and a full-size spare is included for the 18-inch chrome alloy wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires. The xenon headlights are automatic and self-dimming, along with the mirrors. Front variable-intermittent wipers are rain sensing and matched by a rear wiper, washer, and defogger.

Safety features for the 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4WD include dual front, front side, and curtain side airbags with rollover sensors, four-wheel antilock disc brakes with brake assist and an antiskid system, traction control, a tire pressure monitor, and a theft-deterrent system.
