The 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LS Crew Cab 4WD shares a drivetrain and interior and exterior features with the rear-wheel-drive LS Crew Cab, but adds a four-wheel-drive system for better off-road and poor-conditions handling. The 4WD system adds 400 pounds to the gross vehicle weight, reduces the maximum payload to 1,787 pounds, increases the maximum towing capacity to 5,000 pounds, and slightly lowers mileage to 14 city/19 highway mpg. Front tow hooks come standard.
