2009 Volkswagen Tiguan S

The 2009 Tiguan S comes with a long list of standard features, even at this entry trim level. Power windows and door locks are complemented by heated power mirrors and remote entry for a full convenience trip, while air conditioning and cruise control only add to the list of posh. Front bucket seats with lumbar control are clad in cloth and include driver’s seat height adjustment as well as a tilt and telescoping steering wheel. The passenger seat folds flat for extra cargo space, and the split-folding rear seat is adjustable, too. A center console provides discreet storage in tandem with the rear cargo cover. Aluminum trim accents the interior, and illuminated visor mirrors allow vanity day or night. An AM/FM/CD player with a digital media connection is standard, and an interior air filter will keep lungs healthy for all the singing you’ll inevitably be doing. A tachometer and outside temperature indicator keep you informed, and floormats protect from filthy feet.

Daytime running lights, variable-intermittent front and intermittent rear wiper/washers team with a rear defogger to make sure everything is clear, and four-wheel antilock disc brakes with antiskid sit behind 16-inch alloys to make sure you can stop safely should anything untoward enter your field of vision.

The Tiguan S is powered by a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine with your option of a six-speed manual or six-speed shiftable automatic. Traction control as well as dual front, front side, and curtain side airbags are all included.
