The roomy 2009 Ford E-Series Wagon E-150 XL passenger van offers seating for eight in three rows and over 250 cubic feet of cargo space with the rears seats removed. The Spartan standard appearance, comfort, and convenience features for this full-size wagon include 16-inch steel wheels, three-row seating, front bucket seats, air conditioning, tilt-wheel steering, and an AM/FM stereo with six speakers. Options, on the other hand, are plentiful, including a satellite radio/DVD navigation package, in-dash computer, high-capacity front and rear air conditioning, interior and exterior styling upgrades, running boards, power windows and door locks, speed control, a single-CD player, a rear-view camera system, reverse-sensing system, and trailer towing package. Safety features for the ’09 E-150 XL include four-wheel ABS, traction control, stability control, and front dual-stage airbags.
For 2009, the E-Series Wagon E-150 XL offers the standard 4.6-liter Flex Fuel V8 and four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive that puts out 225 hp and 286 lb-ft of torque. Additionally, a 5.4-liter Flex Fuel engine is available for the E-150, along with a dutiful four-speed automatic. This latter combo is capable of 255 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque, good enough to haul 7,500 pounds when properly equipped. Curiously – or, perhaps not – there seem to be no mileage figures available for this venerable wagon.
