Ford delivers an attractive option for sedan drivers who are uncomfortable at the wheel of an SUV, or who don't want to pay more at the pump, but who want the handling of an all-wheel-drive vehicle.
The 2009 Ford Fusion V6 SEL AWD upgrades from the front-wheel drive that comes standard on the V6 version of the SEL, and does so with a minimal difference in fuel economy (17/25 mpg, instead of 18/26), while not sacrificing much in terms of amenities, either. The Blue Suede and Sport Appearance packages are unavailable with four-wheel drive, but that's probably an acceptable tradeoff for those prioritizing improved stability and control.
