Packing Mazda’s Active Torque Split all-wheel-drive system, the 2009 Mazda CX-7 Grand Touring AWD is ready to get up to 59 cubic feet of cargo and up to five passengers to their destination in just about any weather. Equipped identically to its rear-wheel-drive sibling safety-wise, feature-wise, and options-wise, the CX-7 Grand Touring AWD crossover represents the crème-de-la-crème of the lineup.
The ’09 CX-7 Grand Touring AWD is powered by the only engine available to the CX-7, a 244-hp, 258-lb-ft/torque 2.3-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder and its accompanying six-speed auto-manual transmission. The pair nets 16/22 mpg and is good to tow some 2,000 pounds when equipped with the available Class II towing package.
