2009 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid 4WD

Providing both optimal traction and good fuel economy, the 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid 4WD comes equipped with Chevy's push-button Autotrac four-wheel-drive system, as well as a two-mode hybrid propulsion system, which links two small electric motors with a 6.0-liter V8 gas engine for a combined 332 hp and 367 lb-ft of torque. The Tahoe Hybrid runs in the first mode for most types of everyday driving, such as around town or in traffic, and operates on electric power only, gas power only, or a combination of the two for optimal efficiency. For the second mode, which takes over primarily at highway speeds, the Hybrid operates on gas power assisted by the electric motor. The hybrid system also includes a two-mode electronic-ratio select transmission and regenerative antilock brakes, which charge the 300-volt battery pack when the brakes are applied. Fuel economy numbers for Tahoe Hybrid 4WD check in at 20/20 city/highway mpg.

The Tahoe Hybrid's seven-passenger cabin, with three rows of seating, comes equipped with such standard features as leather seats in the first and second rows, heated bucket seats in the front, tri-zone climate controls, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, as well as a touchscreen navigation system, Bluetooth wireless connectivity, and OnStar. A remote starter system and rear audio controls also come standard. In addition, an Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist system alerts drivers via beeps and flashing lights when there's a stationary object behind the vehicle. Power-adjustable pedals, heated outside mirrors, and 18-inch wheels also come standard.
