2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LT1 Coupe Summary

With a sportier-looking profile than the sedan's, the two-door, front-wheel-drive 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LT1 Coupe loses some rear headroom, but otherwise retains most of what you find in the sedan version. Powered by a 2.4-liter inline-four engine, the coupe comes standard with a 5-speed manual transmission, though a 4-speed automatic is available. This powertrain puts out 155 hp and 150 ft-lbs of torque, up several points from last year. The LT1 upgrades from the LS by adding power windows and mirrors and keyless entry, and gets more options, such as wheel-mounted cruise and audio controls. Other options include remote start and a rear spoiler.

Inside the coupe, drivers will find power locks, air-conditioning, a trip computer, keyless entry, Bluetooth, satellite radio, and a CD/MP3 player with radio data and an MP3 jack. Convenience features include two front power outlets, tilt steering, power steering, intermittent wipers, a tachometer and temperature display, four cupholders, and a security system.

The 2009 Cobalt LT1 Coupe comes equipped with front disc and rear drum brakes, with the option to add ABS and traction control. Dual front-side and side curtain airbags protect front-seat passengers. The 15-inch steel wheels with Touring tires feature a tire monitor and can be replaced with larger 17-inch alloy wheels. OnStar and automatic halogen headlamps are also standard.
