2009 Hyundai Sonata Limited Summary
Coming in as the top-of-the-line trim for this midsize front-wheel-drive sedan, the 2009 Hyundai Sonata Limited adds a lot of luxury in the form of leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a power sunroof. Other upgrades include a 7-speaker sound system and 6-CD changer with radio data, and a remote garage opener. A temperature display and compass join the tachometer and trip computer on the dash. Already standard are an 8-way power driver's seat, full power features, heated mirrors, remote entry, wheel-mounted cruise and audio controls, satellite radio, intermittent wipers, leather trim for the steering wheel, and faux wood accents.
Under the hood of this spacious sedan sits a 16-valve, 2.4-liter inline four that delivers 175 hp and 168 ft-lbs of torque. It comes with a 5-speed shiftable automatic only. Together, they average 22/32 mpg. The 2009 Sonata Limited also adds larger 17-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires and an auto-dimming rearview mirror to the safety equipment. It earns five stars due to standard traction and stability control, a front stabilizer bar, 4-wheel disc and ABS brakes, and dual front-side and side curtain airbags. Also standard are a tire monitor, foglights, halogen lamps, and automatic headlights. The sedan seats five in two rows that split-fold. A folding armrest in the back doubles as a pass-through to the 16.3-cubic-foot trunk. There are power outlets up front and in the trunk.
Being so well-equipped, the 2009 Sonata Limited offers few options, but a touchscreen navigation system is new this year. Other options include a wind deflector for the sunroof, mudguards, Bluetooth, and a cargo tray and cargo net for the trunk.
