2008 Nissan Frontier LE King Cab 4X4 Summary
The Nissan Frontier is a class leader in the compact pickup truck category, and the LE is its top trim line.
The LE King Cab seats four with two rear jump seats. Reviewers, although satified with the front seats, feel the King Cab's rear jump seats are not really for the human bum or adult-length legs. The King Cab comes with the long truck bed, which measures 73.3 inches.
The LE's engine is a 4.0-liter V6 that produces 261 hp and 281 pound-feet of torque. Standard configuration couples it to a sophisticated five-speed automatic in a four-wheel-drive configuration. Kelley Blue Book commented that the engine "might be the smoothest, strongest V6 ever put in a pickup." Performance is brisk, and handling is exceptionally well mannered. Gas mileage is the only drawback. The EPA rates the V6 with all-wheel drive and the five-speed automatic at 14/19 mpg.
The LE trim line adds 17-inch, four-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels, BFGoodrich Long Trail T/A tires, the Utili-track Channel system (a built-in track and heavy-duty cleat system), and a factory-applied spray-on bedliner with rail caps. A roof rack with crossbars; body-colored front bumper, door handles and mirrors; automatic on/off headlights; and HomeLink Universal Transceiver are also standard.
The four-wheel-drive LE King Cab can carry 1,337 pounds and has a maximum towing capacity of 6,300 pounds.
