The 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT1 with the four-door Extended Cab seats up to six passengers. The front seat comes equipped with driver- and passenger-side recliners, plus a fold-down center armrest with plenty of storage space. A 295-horsepower, 4.8-liter Vortec V8 engine powers the 2008 Silverado 1500 LT1 Extended Cab. The engine links to a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission with a Tow/Haul mode, which enhances performance when pulling a trailer or hauling heavy loads. The transmission also has a Tap Up/Tap Down shift control lever, which enables the driver to manually shift up or down, depending on cargo and driving conditions.

Optional powerplants include a 315-horsepower 5.3-liter V8 and a 367-horsepower 6.0-liter V8 engine, as well as a FlexFuel V8.
