Think of this trim as a slightly fancier version of the regular XLT SuperCab. The XLT SuperCab Flareside has a 4.6-liter, 248-hp V8 engine with a four-speed automatic transmission, but can be upgraded to a 5.4-liter, 300-hp V8. As with the XLT SuperCab, standard features include air-conditioning, power windows and door locks, a CD player, and ABS brakes. Options include traction control, a navigation system, a sunroof, and power seats. Just like the XLT SuperCab, maximum towing capacity comes out to a solid 9,500 lbs. Overall, the Flareside matches the XLT SuperCab in most respects, but with a little extra style.
