For those looking to take their act off the road, the STX Flareside 4WD should give a little more than the XL SuperCab 4WD, at least based on the pricetag. This trim features a 4.6-liter, 248-hp V8 engine with a four-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include air-conditioning, a CD player, and ABS brakes. Unfortunately, you won't find many, if any, optional features. In addition, you can't upgrade to the 5.4-liter, 300-hp V8, and maximum towing capacity comes out to only 6,800 lbs, one of the lowest numbers among all F-150 trims.
