The FX4 Flareside represents the next step up from the XLT SuperCab 4WD. This trim has a 5.4-liter, 300-hp V8 engine with a four-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include air-conditioning, power windows, power door locks, a CD player, and ABS brakes. Although it does have a cool name, the FX4 Flareside can seat only three passengers and tows up to a middling 8,200 lbs. Overall, the FX4 Flareside gives you the best engine in the F-150 lineup and a decent set of standard features. However, the general lack of options will likely disappoint those looking to ride in style.
