A standard sunroof, 7-speaker sound system, and wheel-mounted audio controls are the primary features that set the 2008 Honda Civic Coupe EX Auto apart from the LX. The same 1.8-liter, 140-hp inline-four engine breathes under the hood, matched to a 5-speed automatic and delivering 128 ft-lbs of torque and 26/34 mpg. 16-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires enhance handling that was upgraded with the new aerodynamic design. A rear spoiler is also standard. The coupe seats four (in a cramped back seat), with split-folding rear seats and a trunk that holds nearly 12 cubic feet of cargo. Tiedowns are standard, but a net and organizer are optional.
Four-wheel disc and ABS brakes, dual front-side and side curtain airbags for both rows, daytime running lights, and a tire monitor are some of the standard safety features. The 2008 Civic Coupe EX Auto also upgrades with a temperature display and cupholders for both front and back passengers. Power windows, locks, and mirrors, cruise control, remote entry, intermittent wipers, tilt and telescopic steering, a CD/MP3 player with radio data, and a security system are all part of the package. There are a few options available for upgrading, including a navigation system, leather steering wheel trim, an 8-CD changer, remote start, 17-inch wheels, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and splash guards. Though there are complaints of road noise and rattling windows, drivers love the handling, look, and fuel economy of the 2008 Civic Coupe EX Auto.
