The LT trim for the 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche represents the middle of the lineup. It begins with the LT1, which basically adds a 6-way power passenger seat to the 6-way driver's seat, rear audio controls, and more option choices, such as a garage opener, sunroof, and DVD player. The rear-wheel-drive 2008 Avalanche LT1 features a 320-hp, 5.3-liter V8 with 4-speed automatic. The Flex Fuel engine rates 340 ft-lbs of torque and can tow up to 8,200 pounds with the standard trailer hitch. The pickup seats six with a cargo bed just over five feet long, able to hold 45 cubic feet. With the midgate wall removed and the rear seats folded down, passenger capacity is reduced to three, but the bed extends to eight feet. A hard cover and tie-downs are included.
