[Edit] If you need a bit more room in this utilitarian and powerful pickup, the 2008 Dodge Ram Pickup 1500 SXT LB adds nearly two more feet of length. The 8-foot bed comes with a cargo light and can be equipped with optional sliding rear window, tie-downs, a bedliner, cargo net, side rails, a bed extender, and towing package. With the 3.7-liter, 215-hp V6, the 2008 SXT LB can tow nearly 9,000 pounds. A 6-speed manual is standard, and a 5-speed automatic is optional. Also optional are the 310-hp 4.7-liter V8 and 345-hp 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engines, with the opportunity to add the flex fuel option. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but four-wheel drive can be added. It can't be engaged on dry pavement, but its low-range gearing means you can take it off-road. An off-road package is also available.
As a Regular Cab, the 2008 Ram Pickup 1500 SXT LB seats three in one row. The Quad Cab version has two rows for six people. The rear row split-folds for more cargo space, and in the regular cab, the front row also split-folds 40/20/40. The SXT adds full power features, heated mirrors, cruise control, and remote entry to the convenience equipment. Already included are a CD player, air conditioning, intermittent wipers, and a tachometer. Additional safety features include automatic headlights and halogen lamps, joining rear ABS brakes, a tire monitor, dual front and knee airbags, and a side impact door beam. Electronic stability control is optional for the SXT LB.
There are plenty of extras available for the 2008 Ram Pickup 1500 SXT LB. Satellite radio and a 6-CD changer/MP3 player enhance the passenger experience. A MOPAR package adds tubular side rails and body-side moldings. Remote start and a power driver's seat are also offered, as are a tow package that includes folding side mirrors.
