Adding an L to the EX trim name means a bit more luxury in this front-wheel-drive sports coupe. The 2008 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L dresses things up with leather seats and leather trim on the steering wheel. Heated front seats, an 8-way power driver's seat, satellite radio, and dual-zone climate control are also upgrades when you move to the EX-L. Under the hood breathes a 2.4-liter, 190-hp DOHC iVTEC 4-cylinder, which can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. A double wishbone front and multilink rear suspension allows for solid, if not entirely sporty, handling. A standard chrome exhaust and 17-inch alloy wheels add sleekness to the exterior.

The 2008 Accord Coupe EX-L features a 7-speaker sound system with 6-CD changer, full power features, heated mirrors, a sunroof, a temperature display and tachometer, wheel-mounted cruise and audio controls, remote entry, and a security system. A new option this year for the EX-L is a voice-activated navigation system featuring a central control knob rather than a touchscreen. It is bundled with  the Bluetooth option. Other options include an auto-dimming rearview mirror, rear parking sensors, remote start, and larger 18-inch wheels. Though not yet rated for safety, the 2008 Accord Coupe EX-L is well equipped, with traction and stability control, 4-wheel ABS brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, daytime running lights, a tire monitor, and dual front-side and side curtain airbags with a new dual-chamber setup.
