On this trim, it is available with a five-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission. Long-bed trims are automatic only.
All 4x4 Tacomas include Toyota's 4WDemand system: a part-time 4-wheel-drive system with a two-speed electronically controlled transfer case. Buyers of V6 trims can also opt for a towing package, which adds a Class-4 towing hitch and a heavy-duty battery. Double Cab Tacomas are differentiated from the smaller models by additional standard features like keyless entry, full power accessories, and higher-quality upholstery.
