[Edit] The most expensive and best equipped of all Sport Edition 4Runners, this model offers four-wheel drive and a larger engine. Powered by a 4.7-liter V8, this 4Runner offers 266 hp and 306 lb-ft of torque. It's paired with a five-speed automatic transmission and aided by Variable Valve Timing. While all 4Runners earn a LEV emissions rating, this model is the least fuel efficient, with EPA estimates of 16/19 mpg. On the V8 model, towing capacity increases from 5,000 to 7,300 pounds.
All trims come standard with automatic climate control, power windows and locks, keyless entry, a CD audio system, Vehicle Stability Control + Traction Control, ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution, and Brake Assist. The Sport Edition trim includes exclusive features like the X-REAS cross-linked suspension and special seat fabric. Additions beyond the SR5 include power seats and 17-inch wheels.
