[Edit] The SR5 is the base trim for the 4Runner, but this variant includes four-wheel drive and a larger engine. Standard features include keyless entry, power windows and door locks, and automatic climate control. All 4Runners come equipped with Toyota's Star Safety System, featuring Vehicle Stability Control + Traction Control, ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution, and Brake Assist.
This SR5 houses the 4.7-liter V8, which generates 266 hp and 306 lb-ft of torque. It's paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. While all 4Runners now earn a LEV emissions rating, the V8-powered models are the least fuel efficient, with EPA estimates of 16/19 mpg. Toyota's full-time 4WD system includes a locking limited-slip differential. On the V8 model, towing capacity increases from 5,000 to 7,300 pounds.
