2008 Saab 9-7X 5.3i

Essentially a carryover from the previous year, the 2008 Saab 9-7X 5.3i midsize SUV delivers the styling, responsiveness, and interior amenities drivers have come to expect from the Scandanavian automaker, though many of the vehicle's underpinnings are borrowed from GM, which is Saab's parent company. Handling and braking are said to be particularly good, with the 5.3i offering a stable, solid ride, as well as plenty of power under the pedal.

That power comes courtesy of a 5.3-liter Active Fuel Management V8 engine that produces 300 horsepower. Automatic all-wheel-drive is standard, and GM's StabiliTrak vehicle stability management system helps keep the 5.3i stable on slick surfaces or during emergency situations. Other standard features include leather-appointed seats that are heated in the front, a power moonroof, xenon headlights with headlight washers, and XM satellite radio.
