A bit flashier than the Base trim, the 2008 Dodge Magnum SXT comes with a stronger standard engine. A 3.5-liter, 250-hp V6 and 4-speed overdrive automatic power the rear-wheel-drive crossover SUV, and if you need more power, a 5.4-liter, 340-hp Hemi V8 is available. A fully independent suspension and 17-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires keep the 2008 Magnum SXT upright, and standard safety features include a tire-pressure monitor, 4-wheel disc and ABS brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution, and dual front airbags. The SXT adds traction and stability control to the plate, along with foglights. Side curtain airbags for both rows are optional, as well as automatic headlights, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, daytime running lights, and 18-inch wheels.

A sporty new front grille and more exterior chrome, combined with a standard rear spoiler, beef up the aggressive image of the 2008 Magnum SXT. Inside, however, there are a lot of family comforts and conveniences. Along with full power features, wheel-mounted cruise control, intermittent front and rear wipers, keyless entry, a security system, tachometer, and a CD/MP3 player, the SXT adds an 8-way power driver's seat, satellite radio, and heated mirrors. There are cupholders for both rows, and three power outlets -- two up front and one in the cargo area. With the rear seats split-folded 60/40, the cargo area holds up to 72 cubic feet. Tie-downs are included, and a hard cover can be added. A roof rack is also available for the SXT. Other options add a power passenger seat, 6-CD changer, navigation system, heated leather seats, satellite radio & backseat TV, and a sunroof.
