If you're looking for an 8-way power passenger seat to match the driver's, and memory settings for the driver's seat, the 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT3 fits the bill. These features are the main distinctions between the LT2 and LT3. The rear-wheel drive, five-seater SUV sits on a truck platform (front double wishbone and rear live axle) and rides on larger 18-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tires, which can be upgraded to 18-inch wheels. Standard 4-wheel disc and ABS brakes, front and rear stabilizer bars, stability control, a tire monitor, automatic headlights, foglights, daytime running lights, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and dual front and side curtain airbags for each row earn four and five-star safety ratings, though the Trailblazer rates only a three on rollover protection.
Engine choices are a 4.2-liter, 285-hp, 276 lb-ft of torque DOHC I6 or a Vortec 5.3-liter, 300-hp V8. Both come with a 4-speed HydraMatic. Cruise control, leather seats and trim, a CD player with wheel-mounted and backseat audio controls, intermittent front and rear wipers, a remote garage opener, full power features, keyless entry, front, overhead, and floor storage consoles, three power outlets, OnStar, a trip computer, and heated mirrors are standard. In 2008, the LT3 gets XM satellite radio. On the outside, the LT3 adds running boards. A roof rack supplements the 41 cubic foot cargo area, which expands to 80 when the 60/40 rear seats fold down. Tie-downs are standard, and a cargo net and cover are extra. A standard trailer hitch can two 6600 pounds. An LT3-only option is a navigation system. Other options include a DVD player, power pedals, an off-road package with skids plates and underbody protection, a sunroof, and two-tone paint.
