2008 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Summary
The 2008 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer edition sports such exterior features as unique Pueblo Gold front and rear bumpers, and a special three-bar chrome grille, as well as Pueblo Gold trim and wheel-lip moldings.
Inside, the Eddie Bauer edition ups the luxury ante with a pair of truly refined front-row leather-trimmed, low-backed sport bucket seats with power lumbar and recline features. The driver's seat adds 10-way power adjustment. Other features include a message center, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and power exterior mirrors.
The Explorer Eddie Bauer edition also comes with AdvanceTrac traction control with Roll Stability Control (RSC), Ford's Safety Canopy system with side airbags, an MP3 input jack for the AM/FM/CD sound system, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
In addition, the Eddie Bauer edition includes a new capless fuel filling system (available late in the model year), which opens and closes automatically when drivers insert or extract a fuel pump nozzle. The new capless system provides a tighter seal than a typical gas cap, according to Ford.
A 210-horsepower, 4.0-liter, single-overhead-cam V6 engine provides power for the 2008 Explorer Eddie Bauer edition. The engine links to a five-speed overdrive automatic transmission. A maintenance-free battery, Class II towing hitch, and 17-inch aluminum wheels are also included in the Eddie Bauer package.
