2008 Cadillac XLR-V Base

Sleek, fast, and elegant, the Cadillac XLR-V Base model received only a few upgrades for 2008, including a heated steering wheel and new optional chrome wheels. Cadillac also offered the XLR-V in a new color, Elektra Blue.

A 443-horsepower, 4.4-liter, superchanged Northstar V8 resides under the sculpted hood of the 2008 XLR-V, making it one of the most powerful vehicles in Cadillac's stable. The engine links to a six-speed Hydra-matic automatic transmission with Driver Shift Control.

The XLR-V comes with an automatic retractable hardtop that opens or closes at the push of a single button. It takes less than 30 seconds for the roof to retract and store in the trunk.

The extensive list of standard features for the 2008 XLR-V includes a deluxe leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and cruise controls, front bucket seats with leather seating surfaces, aluminum and Zingana interior wood accents, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, a head-up display with digital readouts in five languages, a Bulgari-designed instrument cluster with white-on-black numerals, programmable door locks, a keyless entry system and keyless ignition, XM satellite radio, and a nine-speaker Bose AM/FM stereo system with a six-disc in-dash CD player and DVD-based navigation on a 6.5-inch color display.

Other features include dual chrome-plated exhaust tips, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, a StabiliTrak electronic vehicle stability enhancement system, Magnasteer rack-and-pinion steering, performance-tuned Magnetic Ride Control, rear Parking Assist, rainsense windshield wipers, a tire pressure monitoring system, and 19-inch aluminum wheels.
