2008 Ford Fusion V6 SE Summary
Slotted mid-level in the Fusion lineup for 2008, the Fusion V6 SE combines an upgraded list of standard features with a more powerful 3.0-liter, Duratec 30 V6 engine that produces 221 horsepower. The engine provides respectable power while remaining fuel efficient and producing reduced emissions. It links to either a five-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic.
Safety features for the 2008 Fusion have been upgraded to include antilock brakes and a tire pressure monitoring system. The Fusion V6 SE adds a number of other standard features, including a
six-way power-adjustable driver's seat, powered side mirrors, a message center with a trip computer, steering-wheel-mounted audio and speed controls, and a six-speaker AM/FM stereo system with an in-dash six-disc CD player and an MP3 input jack.
A number of features are designed to raise the Fusion V6 SE above the competition. For instance, the front passenger seat folds down for greater flexibility in interior space, while grocery hooks in the trunk improve functionality. And an optional ambient lighting system, available late in the 2008 model year, is designed to improve the interior atmosphere.
The Fusion V6 SE is also available with a power moonroof and an upgraded eight-speaker Audiophile AM/FM stereo system. Other options include the Ford Sync communications connectivity system, which enables hands-free access to cell phones and MP3 players (due late in the 2008 model year), and an optional Sport Appearance Package with a number of exterior and interior upgrades.
