Standard features on the XE include full power accessories, heated exterior mirrors, cruise control, air-conditioning with rear controls, OnStar, an MP3-compatible CD player,satellite radio and 18-inch alloy wheels.  Options on this lower level trim include a sunroof and xenon headlamps.

All Outlook models are equipped with a 3.6 liter V6 power plant, but the XE had a bit less power than the upper level XR.  The V6 generates 270 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque here, and power is routed to all four wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission.  Fuel economy for the AWD model is estimated 16/22 mpg.
