The 2008 Hyundai Sonata GLS is the lineup's entry-level vehicle. It's powered by a 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder twin-cam engine that produces 162 horsepower. A five-speed manual transmission is standard, while a four-speed automatic is available as an option.

The Sonata GLS seats five passengers comfortably, and includes such features as an eight-way adjustable driver's seat, a four-way adjustable front passenger seat, premium cloth seat trim, cruise control, a remote keyless entry system, cruise control, and an AM/FM/XM stereo system with a CD player and an MP3-player input jack.
