The Altima Coupe 2.5 S joins Nissan's lineup for 2008 as the entry-level coupe model. It's powered by a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine that produces 175 horsepower. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, while a smooth CVT (continuously variable transmission) with manual shift control is available as an option.

The Altima Coupe 2.5 S is equipped with such features as anti-lock brakes, dual exhaust outlets, and vehicle-speed-sensitive power steering, which provides more power assistance at lower speeds for easier parking.

Interior features include easy-to-read Fine Vision gauges and LCD readouts, air conditioning with an in-cabin microfilter, aluminum trim or optional wood-tone accents, and sport bucket seats with additional bolstering for support in hard corners.

Other features include an Intelligent Key system with push-button ignition, a six-speaker AM/FM stereo system with a CD player and MP3 input, six standard airbags, a vehicle security system, and 16-inch wheels.

A multifunction Navigation system with a RearView Monitor, XM NavTraffic, split-screen detail, phone call information, and satellite radio with extensive music information is also available. Other options include fog lights, a power sliding glass moonroof, a Bluetooth hands-free phone system, and a Bose audio system (available as part of a premium package).
