The mid-level trim package in the 2008 Ford Taurus X lineup, the Eddie Bauer AWD edition receives a number of upgrades over the entry-level SEL models, including 18-inch alloy wheels (instead of the standard 17-inch wheels), auto delay-off headlights with a dusk-sensing feature, a eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat, a four-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, an overhead console with storage, front seatback storage, simulated wood trim on the doors, and dual-zone climate control.
The Taurus X Eddie Bauer AWD model also is equipped with a new four-wheel-drive system that provides improved traction.
Other standard features include an AdvanceTrac traction control system, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, stability control, and a Safety Canopy System consisting of side head curtain airbags, as well as an AM/FM stereo system with a CD player and an MP3 input jack.
Options include the Ford SYNC hand's-free wireless communications sytem and a DVD family entertainment system. A power rear liftgate is also available as an option.
