New for 2008, the Saturn VUE Red Line marries good performance and SUV functionality with a number of high-end, sport-oriented features, including a lowered stance, a sport-tuned suspension, bolstered sport bucket seats, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Like all Saturn VUEs for 2008, the Red Line features a fresh, contemporary exterior style, with a tapered roof, jewel-like headlights, and side vents with integrated turn signals. A 257-horsepower, 3.6-liter, double-overhead-cam V6 engine powers the Red Line. The engine links to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Standard features include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, XM satellite radio, OnStar, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, heated outside mirrors, and remote keyless entry. In addition, the leather seats are heated in the front, and the driver's seat features eight-way power adjustment.
Safety features such as the StabiliTrak stability control system, four-wheel antilock disc brakes, a tire pressure monitoring system, and six standard airbags are all part of the Red Line package. Overall, the Red Line comes equipped with more than 100 safety features.
Other standard features include rack-and-pinion steering, cruise control, Solar Ray deep-tinted glass (except for the windshield and front windows), daytime running lights, and a six-speaker AM/FM/CD player with an MP3 input jack.
