The restyled 2008 Saturn VUE XE features a more aerodynamic overall exterior design, a tapered roof, jewel-like headlights, and side vents with integrated turn signals.
The front-wheel-drive XE comes well-equipped for an entry-level trim. Such features as deluxe front bucket seats, XM satellite radio, OnStar, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, an outside temperature display, and remote keyless entry are all part of the standard package.
In addition, safety features such as GM's StabiliTrak stability control system, four-wheel antilock disc brakes, and six standard airbags help keep passengers safe during all types of weather and driving conditions. But that's just the beginning, since Saturn notes that the 2008 VUE XE includes more than 100 standard safety features.
A 164-horsepower, 2.4-liter, double-overhead-cam Ecotec four-cylinder engine powers the VUE XE. The engine, which offers 20 more horsepower than the previous year's powerplant, links to a four-speed automatic transmission.
Other features include rack-and-pinion steering, cruise control, Solar Ray deep-tinted glass (except for the windshield and front windows), 16-inch wheels, daytime running lights, and a six-speaker AM/FM/CD player with an MP3 input jack.
