The 2008 BMW 528i was a four-door, rear-wheel-drive luxury sedan powered by a new 3.0-liter, double-overhead-cam six-cylinder engine that produced 230 horsepower. The engine was linked to either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed Steptronic automatic transmission with three shift modes, including a manual shift mode.
