2007 Dodge Ram Pickup 2500 SLT Mega Cab 4WD Summary
The Ram 2500's unique Mega Cab layout offers an even more spacious version of the the already roomy Quad Cab, with 20 extra inches of room inside. The extended cabin eliminates the availability of the 8-foot bed, but this 7,000-pound pickup will still haul a payload of just over a ton.
SLT is Ram's intermediate trim, gaining many of the comfort and convenience essentials absent from the sparsely appointed ST. SLTs come standard with alloy wheels, keyless entry, cruise control, and full power accessories. The SLT also gains cloth seating, replacing the vinyl found in the ST. Options include a sunroof, satellite radio, and power-adjustable pedals.
Chevy's electronically controlled 4WD system is differentiated from the 2WD drivetrain by a solid front axle versus an independent suspension, and the 2WD's rack-and-pinion steering is replaced with a recirculating-ball setup.
